The Outside General Counsel is a product developed by Weitz Morgan as an offering to its clients to cover the entire spectrum of their legal needs: advice and counsel, litigation and corporate work, and strategic, prospective guidance.
How It Works
Businesses that sign up for the Outside General Counsel product receive full-service representation at a discounted hourly rate depending on the terms and options they choose to include in their package.
Who It Benefits
Large Corporations: For this type of client, the firm provides litigation, corporate over-flow, and government contracts assistance. We have the ability to handle complex (and/or controversial) litigation as well as the ability to step in and work on transactional matters or provide guidance on government contracts.
Start-Ups: These clients are normally entities at the friends and family stage and beyond and utilize the firm for corporate set-up, prospective advisory services, funding, corporate matters, general legal work, and leadership and direction.
Mid-Market Companies: Companies in the middle market tend to have significant legal needs, but either no or limited in-house legal staff. These clients rely on the firm for litigation matters, advice and counsel, and general “business as usual” work.
Government Contractors: We assist businesses in the public procurement market in pre-award contract review as well as post-award counsel, administration of contracts, compliance, procurement litigation, and subcontractor and vendor matters.
